Ora Pro Nobis

Ora pro nobis is a research project about the relationship between Cosa nostra and the Vatican in which the Sicilian artist Nuuco has been working on for several years. 

Even with everything that involves working on something taboo, on the so-called omerta', on the fear of talking about something as sacred as the mother church or a secret criminal enterprise, the artist, through precise mutlidisciplinary works, has managed to capture a show filled with a beauty that is aesthetic but dark like the baroque churches by candlelight. Works fullof symbolisms shared between le famiglie and San Pietro. 

It is an exhibtion protected by all the Saints. A Show in which one feels respect upon entry, as when one enters a cathedralö or gets lost in a town in the insides of Sicily. silence. It is a pairing between religious and political works, full of reliable data of the worst criminal acts, such as money laudering. An infoxication of files compiled, among other ways, administratively and bureaucratically by collecting newpsapers and press headlines that show the certainty of a past linked to the church and the mafia, but above all of a dark and corrupt present, full of great secrets, of great economic interest, of crimes, of lies, of power, of fear, of silence.
