The Centre d'Art Contemporain Genève presents the exhibition Une cosmologie à partir de Violeta Parra by artist Julieta Hanono at Project Space from June 8 to October 13, 2024.
Julieta Hanono, a visual artist born in Buenos Aires, lives and works between Paris (France) and Rosario (Argentina). Her pieces function as transdisciplinary supports that unfold, decompose and translate into texts, drawings, embroidery, film, neon and posters. She engages in multi-faceted reflection and production, questioning language in its capacity to translate personal and collective narratives. The conceptual and political framework in which her work is inscribed and deployed is that of feminist struggles and Latin American indigenous peoples. At Project Space, she will propose a cosmology that begins with Violeta Parra and extends to the other women poets, activists and writers in the artist's pantheon.
