KYTA's core audiences remain artists, appreciators of authentic arts and culture, as well as the discerning traveller as compared to the average tourist to maintain the sanctity of the village.
Since last year, we have started hosting an Open Village Showcase (12-15 Oct 2018) inviting a small audience to travel to Kalga and experience the place through exhibitions, live performances, workshops, screenings, talks, treks, camping and cookouts! In 2017, we had Susmit Sen (Founder, Indian Ocean) record a few songs in our modest facility, Karma Quad, while also playing live to a packed house in our little cafe area.
This year, we intend to ramp up the musical programming during the showcase with our #LiveFromKalga series. We will also host live reading sessions, a mini-symposium on sustainability and ecology and a lot more on the gastronomical front!
So come up and join us for the essential Himalayan experience surrounded by art, expression, cultural exchange and community.
