My 2015 h-Art show features a series of recent cut paper bird paintings. incorporating collage, cut paper, ink, acrylic and watercolour. This preoccupation sprang initially from my love of the streamlined essential shape of bird and the urge to recycle old work where a pattern or colour stood out, and from my frustration with the constant flow of junk mail. Envelopes took on a new meaning. Scissors became another drawing tool.
A wide range of other work also on show, with many unframed originals, both recent and retrospective. I am happy to demonstrate informally on request. I work in watercolour, acrylic, ink, van Dyck crystals, graphite, etc a wide flat brush, a few brittle sticks, beeswax and seasalt. And of course scissors.
