You are cordially invited to come and meet some of the artists at our OPEN EVENING at the "ALIENNATION - Visions of Science Fiction and Fantasy" exhibition on Thursday 12 May 2016 from 5-8pm.
About
HINTERLANDGALLERY presents ALIENNATION – VISIONS OF SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY – a group exhibition that offers an alternative vision of science fiction and fantasy that will fascinate art lovers and admirers of this genre.
Brought together are several artists exploring themes such as futuristic idealism, dystopian environments, mystical creatures, outer world aesthetics and concepts developed in film and comic book narratives.
Special acknowledgement should be made to Mike Trim who takes part in this show. Mike began his successful career as a concept artist for the 1960s series of Gerry Anderson’s Thunderbirds and also famously illustrated the album cover of the musical version of War of the World’s produced by Jeff Wayne in 1978. His amazing contribution towards sci-fi art has inspired generations of fans and HINTERLANDGALLERY is proud to present Mike’s work.
