About
Open Art Spaces is the artist open studios event for Kensington, Fulham and Chelsea - bringing together over 170 artists, makers and designers in 50 venues across West London
Between 9-18 October, artists will exhibit in studios, homes, cafes, galleries, offices, community centres and unusual venues such as Barclays Bank, and street corners. The V&A opens the doors to their Blythe House archives, as well as welcoming visitors to meet their artists in residence in South Kensington. Heatherly Fine Art School is hosting an open day and free drawing workshop as part of Big Draw, and Faron Sutaria, our headline sponsor, host local artists in 5 of their offices across the area.
The festival showcases a diverse range of work for all budgets, giving visitors the chance to meet and buy directly from painters, printmakers, jewelers, ceramists and sculptors, illustrators and designers, filmmakers and crafts people. Don’t miss the ‘taster’ group show, Place & Proximity, at Austin Forum in Hammersmith where you can view a selection of all participating artists’ work. And book early for the events, tours and talks taking place throughout the festival!
