  • You supply the advisor with information in advance (requirements indicated below)
  • The advisor will prepare for your session in advance by looking through details about your practice that you have provided and any particular issues you have raised in advance.
  • At the end of the session, you will be allocated a follow up, this takes place over the phone or via Skype and arranged at the time of your advice session.

Although we encourage you to meet face to face with our Talent Development Manager, we know that it is not always possible to travel. Therefore we also offer this session via Skype or Zoom.  If you would prefer Skype, proceed with the following:

  • book your ticket

Please note:

Building work is starting at the Crafts Council in October as we are re-developing our old gallery space into a multi-use space to be opened next September. In the meantime, London 1:1 advice sessions will be held in a local venue to the Crafts Council.  In order to keep our sessions at the same price as when taking place at the Crafts Council we are using public spaces (e.g quiet café) rather than spaces requiring a hire fee. Please report to Crafts Council reception 10min before your session time and Caroline Jackman will meet you there to go to a public space.

Advice surgeries are a part of a series of Business development workshops and events designed by the Crafts Council to provide makers with skills to strengthen their business development and promote their work successfully.

Crafts Council courses, events, talks and workshops strike a balance between information-led and practical training, always in a friendly, open atmosphere that encourages discussion and informal networking.
