About

The course teaches the theory and the skills needed to use the equipment in the photographic darkroom .For example how to mix chemicals, how to set up an enlarger form use, the principals behind good practice etc. The learner is then shown examples of fine art printing techniques such as photograms, liquid light, toning, painting over images, use of double negatives. We then experiment with the techniques to produce images.
The learner is encouraged to creatively explore the various techniques and enjoy the process of discovery. By the end of the session they should have finished images which are uniquely their own.
