99 Mount Gallery is pleased to present yet another talk by Pato Bosich - ON ETCHINGS. You are welcome to take part in the interactive workshop and listen the artist explain the fundamental techniques of etching, in reference to his own work and the work of Antoni Tà Â pies currently exhibited at the gallery. Etching is a fascinating process of acid biting into metal and leaving perforated marks as the unique element that produces intricate prints which gives etching its extraordinary character. The workshop will encourage and guide participants to draw and paint by observing the metal plates used in the creation of an etching, where the new work will be ‘a work in reverse' to printmaking. It is interesting to see what etchings capture, that other mediums cannot.
