Link Zone is a project produced by Oh (Mat Jenner and John Lawrence) that complicates notions of artistic authorship. Oh have selected a group of artists and musicians to interpret a text by artist Kate Liston entitled ‘Link Zone’.

About

Oh is an artist-led record label and publisher run by Mat Jenner and John Lawrence.

Oh is interested in interpretation and collaboration.

Oh has been invited by Black Tower Projects to produce a project for their space.

Oh is interested in complicating notions of artistic authorship.

Oh has selected a group of artists and musicians to interpret a text by artist Kate Liston entitled ‘Link Zone: An exploration of the sensation of knowledge through a practice of art and writing.’ Through this work, she exposes the inherent materiality of knowledge through sensual engagement with matter and a grubby handling of ideas.

Oh has invited:

Benedict Drew
Annabel Frearson
Jessy Jetpacks
Kate Liston
Luke McCreadie
Paul Purgas
Tom Richards (Mini-Oramics)

Oh is interested in oral forms of communication and knowledge transfer.

Oh will activate the project with an event at Black Tower Projects, on Saturday 12th of May, where the invited artists will interpret Link Zone to produce new work through live performance.

Oh is interested in expanded forms of publishing, distribution and dissemination.

Oh will 'publish' Link Zone as an evolving installation at Black Tower Projects and create the conditions for the live event to resonate in the space for six weeks.

Oh loves to be surprised.

Love,

Oh.
