The Office of Neglected Opportunities showcases new work from artist/printmakers Jamie Temple and Helen Ashton.
About
For two weeks only, in January 2016, the Office of Neglected Opportunities (o.n.o) will take up office in the Studio 73 gallery, Brixton Village, and we are inviting you to drop in and take part.
o.n.o are presenting an exhibition of totally serious new works from representatives Helen Ashton and Jamie Temple. We will be demonstrating our alternate ideas for utilising local spaces, buildings and natural resources, and thinking about how they can be of greater benefit to the people living in and around Brixton.
These ideas are by no means perfect! They are intended as a starting point for better ones. So with that in mind we want to use this opportunity to show you what we have been working on / thinking about and get your feedback.
Over the course of our two weeks in residence we will be encouraging visitors to get involved through making collages and drawings. Your creations will be added to the exhibition as we go so we can better represent your thoughts and ideas, helping us to highlight the multitude of neglected opportunities out there.
Come along during the daytimes, 11am - 5.30pm, to check out what we have on show and get involved. Make some images with us, give us feedback and ideas, produce a few badges, or just drop by for a chat. We are very welcoming and would love to see ya!
