Us for the Arts has announced its latest open call for the photography exhibition ‘Of Flesh and Bone.’
About
The show is set to explore what truly makes us human, exposing how online experiences often overshadow the tangible human experience. This exhibition aims to provide a photographic survey of what a virtual existence and AI are incapable of ever being: a physical reference, a tactile experience, or a human memory.
Photographers are invited to submit works that capture the raw, unfiltered presence of the human form, the textures of the physical world, what is material or sensory to the human experience, or the dynamic interactions between bodies and spaces. The exhibition encourages and welcomes the use of diverse photographic techniques and processes.
The deadline for submission is July 10th, and selected photographers will be announced on July 17th. The show will take place at 35 Meadow Street Studios, opening on July 31st.
The exhibition will be juried by Erica Reade, the street photographer internationally known for her photo series “Beach Lovers,” and Gaspar Marquez, recognized fine art and event photographer for the Emmy-award-winning Tina Burner’s show “Witch Perfect.”
