Haunt invites you to join us again for the revelation of October's featured artists. This month we are proud to announce our first group show. 'Oddly Drawn Object' is a group exhibition of works by Anna Reading, Hattie Moore and Lotte Scott.
About
Featuring print, video and sculpture the exhibition brings together works considering the object translated into 2 dimensions, placed in landscapes and imagined in environments. The object here takes on an unusual form, growing or melting or seemingly formless, reminiscent of the organic and translated between dimensions. The three artists have imagined the setting of Haunt as an opportunity to place these depictions within a social environment.
Anna Reading is currently completing her MFA in Fine Art at The Slade School of Fine Art. Reading’s practice comprises a variety of mediums to create encounters based around our emotional, psychological and sensory experiences of objects.
Hattie Moore is an artist currently studying MA Fine Art at the Slade School of Fine Art. Her works explore the human relationship with the landscape and what that reveals about the human condition.
Lotte Scott’s artwork explores place, time and material. For the last four years her practice has focused on the peat moors of the Somerset Levels, an area rich in prehistoric archaeology. Scott works with photography, sculpture and drawing, using materials traditionally produced in the Levels: willow charcoal, Somerset paper and peat. She is interested in processes of transformation and preservation, which echo the dynamics of this unpredictable, waterlogged landscape. Scott is currently studying MFA Fine Art at the Slade School of Fine Art.
