The NOVA Exhibition - 'Tide + Emotional' featuring the work of 13 visual artists based in Norfolk until the 13th October. Please come along to the private view Saturday 30th September 2- 4pm.
About
‘Tide’ is universal for North Norfolk and Broads dwellers/artists - a theme that never becomes dated or stale - with swells in the news and erosion constantly an issue: Tide creates ‘Emotion’ and emotion creates art.
What emotion are we expressing when we create art? - are we creating happiness? are we contemplating or expressing our frustrations through the liquids of our artists’ materials.
When large swathes of people are flinging exaggerated emotions into comment boxes on social media sites the world over, does a gallery - and an artist - create a space to gather those emotions in a slower and more thoughtful situation; a framed box that’s then placed on a wall while the tides and time changes?
'Tide + Emotional' will be an umbrella for the artists to shelter under, to see what works flows from their studios - hopefully dripping with emotion!
