Dancers, artists and curious explorers welcome, come with a blank canvas and open mind, and be prepared to be surprised.

About

Organised to coincide with our current exhibition Nostalgia & Progress: Illustration After the Second World War, this workshop will give participants the opportunity to process visual information through physical interpretation of the artworks on display. Using the themes of memory and nostalgia, rooted within the illustrations, this workshop will allow you to play physically within the space of the Gallery and to discover further some of the concepts addressed in the work.

Movers and curious explorers of all levels are invited to take part in the workshop, where they will be encouraged to find fresh ways in which to interpret the artworks, through movement and dance.

There will be guided exercises, some drawing and writing, as well as open-ended tasks that will inspire group and individual pieces of choreography.

Open to all aged 14+
