About
The concept of Nostalgia, being completely destroyed by the collaborative efforts of Hollywood media and postmodernist philosophy, is somehow still very present. Moreover, constant migration and political volatility enable the sentiment of loss and displacement to act as a main category of the collective sensuality and, therefore, give it new readings.
Is Nostalgia currently surviving in a zombie stage, being both dead and alive? Four artists from the RCA’s Masters in Painting bring four completely different approaches to the topic, keeping their diverse practices around the medium of painting - the other contemporary zombie. The event will be held in the Red Door Project Space, a non-commercial artist-run project aiming to support the spread of new contemporary practices among the local community.
