Norwich 20 Group

About

The Norwich 20 Group of artists was formed in 1944. 2014 has seen a celebratory year for the group as it turns 70.

Now after seventy years the group has grown to more than seventy members. These include painters, sculptors, installation and conceptual artists, printmakers and photographers. Initially the founding members were mainly Norwich based, many of them associated with the Norwich School of Art and other local educational institutions. Today the group are spread all around the county and as from the earliest days include many artists with national reputations.

This exhibition at Mandell’s Gallery will exhibit works by over 50 of the groups members, spread across 3 gallery spaces. This exhibition will demonstrate the quality and diversity of the group, while celebrating their 70th year.
