To celebrate the publication of Nomos Alpha, HENI Gallery presents a special six-day exhibition of Koo Jeong A’s work. On display will be 20 large format reproductions – produced by HENI Editions – of a series of whimsical and often humorous pen drawings in Koo’s signature style.

About

Nomos Alpha is an artist’s book, created in close collaboration with Koo. The drawings collected come from a wider selection featured in the book R, published by Swiss Re in 2006. Available as a limited edition of 500, each book has been signed and numbered by Koo. Beautifully produced on extra thick paper with a bespoke jacket, this keepsake publication will be available at the gallery at the special discounted price of £70 (RRP £85).

Koo Jeong A was born in Seoul, South Korea. Since the early 90s Koo has made works that are seemingly casual and commonplace, yet at the same time remarkably precise, deliberate and considered. Her practice spans various media, including drawing, sculpture, installation, audio and architecture. Many of her works are conceived within site-speci c environments that question the limits of fact and ction, the imaginary and actuality of our world. Re ections on the senses and the body prevail throughout her practice, at times incorporating objects, still and moving images, audio elements, aromas and other mixed-media. Koo’s work is featured in public collections internation- ally, including Tate Modern and the Guggenheim Museum New York.

HENI Gallery is run in conjunction with our publishing programme, with exhibitions and events held throughout the year. Established in 2009, HENI Publishing is a small, independent art publisher based in Soho, London. Our bespoke publications, created in collaboration with the artist/author, range from major trade titles to artist’s books and limited editions.
