About
Nik Nowak (*1981 in Mainz, lives in Berlin) critically examines the use of sound as a weapon and medium of propaganda in his artworks. In the Kesselhaus at the Kindl he will realise a large-scale audio-visual installation consisting of two monumental sound sculptures. He uses audio material from the Studio am Stacheldraht during the so-called war of loudspeakers, which took place from 1961 to 1965 on the border between East and West Germany.
The exhibition is curated by Kathrin Becker.
