Anthony Iacono makes meticulous and rich collages, built from hand-cut painted paper and assembled to create vignettes of seemingly nighttime activities. Influenced by '80s voyeuristic thrillers and Queer horror movies, as well as Art Deco posters and Baroque painting, Iacono produces figurative images of bodies, or body parts; sometimes dressed, sometimes not; caught in the centre of a perhaps somewhat banal yet sensually loaded narrative.
