About

Sleeve notes Settled, an anchor dropped in SE trees. City tides will have me in some other drink before long, but for now the dust has settled to form these patterns, I have planted the flag. Morning people and the dead that jog, share a dawn pavement set with fly-tip drama. All this to the tune of big babies at the wheel and folk who yarn with themselves. A-side 1. Pretty vacant plot 2. Earn £££ from home 3. The ecstasy of Golden Retriever 4. Old fruit 5. Wednesday radio B-side 1. Oldacre 2. Winking man 3. Old gym 4. Waiting for Ocado 5. It's what's they would have wanted Nigel Massey b. 1969 in Stoke-on-Trent, trained in painting at the Royal Academy Schools. Massey now combines influences from working with trades such as weaving, frame restoration, shop fitting and furniture making, with other more casual and opportunistic means of gathering material. Through this he proposes and develops ideas through the acts of making, with sometimes impudent acts of assembly and manufacture featuring in these stoic, solitary objects. Nigel Massey lives and works in south London. Public House Projects, 62 Gowlett Road (above the Gowlett Arms), London SE15 4HY. Wednesday - Sunday 12:00 - 6:00pm or by appointment. www.publichouseprojects.org
