Newstalgia seeks to illuminate histories both remembered and forgotten, focuses on the rises and falls of power and the consequences thereof. History sets trends that may not be predetermined. Newstalgia reflects a status quo of contradictions: melancholy and humor unite with emotion and reason in order to collectively explore aesthetics in the post-truth era.
Curated by Alina Ana Kolar, the exhibition features works by Catrin Bolt, Charlie Billingham, Club Fortuna, Eduard Freudmann, Guy Oliver, Kate Mackeson, Lara Verena Bellenghi, Markus Riedler, Elisabeth Molin, Omri Livne, Pauł Sochacki and ZOLLAMT.
The exhibition extends beyond the gallery space in a dedicated issue of the street publication Arts of the Working Class.
