Cotswold artist Emma Howell debuts 'New Terrain', a solo exhibition for your mind, body and soul.
About
“Taking care of our personal terrain, and to secure an authentic sense of self is more important now than ever.”
New Terrain will not only take you through four years of Emma Howell's ever-evolving art practice, but will also offer you an escape from the daily noise that envelopes us.
Working on paper and canvas, and with a range of media including paint, pencil, and pastels, Emma describes her work as the instinctive way she navigates life; a way to nurture her own sense of self. As time passes, the terrain she navigates constantly evolves, as does the work she produces in response. The paintings presented in New Terrain are offered as a way to invite viewers to feel grounded, and to unplug from the uneasiness of current times. Viewing the work is intended as a comforting, and in some cases nostalgic, experience.
New Terrain will also proudly feature UK pottery giants Sculpd, and in tribute to her bass player father, a showcase from the dynamos behind Munson Guitars, who will be hosting a seminar about their custom made guitars, as well as an intimate live gig. Tickets to the Munson Guitars seminar will be available soon.
