Pratt Manhattan Gallery presents New Old: Designing for our Future Selves, an exhibition exploring cutting-edge design solutions for our rapidly aging society.

About

From robotic clothing to driverless cars, New Old rethinks design approaches that will help people lead fuller, healthier, and more rewarding lives into old age.

New Old features design commissions by: Yves Béhar / fuseproject, Konstantin Grcic, Future Facility, Special Projects, IDEO, and PriestmanGoode.

This installment is updated with work by five faculty members from Pratt’s School of Design, including: Mitchell Reece Johnson, Andrea Katz, Karol Murlak, Alex Schweder, and Keena Suh, along with additional US based projects.

Curated by Jeremy Myerson, Helen Hamlyn Professor at the Royal College of Art, this is a touring exhibition from the Design Museum, London, in partnership with the Helen Hamlyn Trust.
