Kovet.Art is delighted to invite you to our panel on the occasion of the launch of New Futures Digital: Slade Focus hosted on The Art Vault , with Alistair Hicks and Victoria Cantons.
Artist and curator Victoria Cantons from the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, will be in conversation with Alistair Hicks, International Art Advisor and Senior Curator. Hicks and Cantons will be discussing the artists' work as well as the concept behind the exhibition which features 21 artists and graduates of the Slade School of Fine Art in an official collaboration with the University.

Alistair Hicks is an International Art Advisor and Senior Curator. He was Senior Curator at Deutsche Bank, where he advises on how to add to the company’s worldwide collection of 60,000 works of art. He is also acted as reviewer of art for The Times and Financial Times newspapers and for the Spectator and Vogue magazines, among others. Hicks is the author of New British Art in the Saatchi Collection (1989), The School of London: The Resurgence of Contemporary Painting (1989) and Art Works: British and German Contemporary Art, 1960–2000 (2001).
Victoria Cantons is a BA Painting graduate of Wimbledon College of Arts, UAL, (2017) and Turps Art School (2018). She received the Felix Slade Scholarship in 2018, and will complete her MFA in Painting at Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, in 2021. She previously studied Drama for the Stage and Screen at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA South). Cantons lives and works in London, and her work is held in private collections in Canada, China, Mexico, France, UK, USA, Singapore and Spain. Most recently, she initiated and curated the Slade Masters Showcase at Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery, London, in 2020, and went on to curate MA/MFA Slade graduates in London Grads Now. at Saatchi Gallery, London, in the same year.
Camilla Grimaldi, Chief Art Officer at Kovet.Art, has extensive experience in the art world in various capacities including as curator, gallerist and international art advisor for over 20 years. She is our liaison with corporates in finance and real estate. She curates the platform’s exhibitions and pop-ups. She works directly with emerging and established artists and has curated contemporary exhibitions in both private and institutional spaces. She began her career at prestigious institutions including Christie’s New York Contemporary Art department, the Guggenheim, Venice and White Cube, London. After her studies in Art History at Università degli Studi della Tuscia, Italy, she achieved an MA in Modern and Contemporary Art at Cambridge University in collaboration with Christie’s Education. In 2004 Camilla co-founded Brancolini Grimaldi, a contemporary photography gallery which opened in Rome and Florence, ultimately moving to London in May 2011. Camilla is currently on the advisory board of Photo London.
Saras Rachupalli, CEO &Founder at Kovet.Art, is passionate about supporting high calibre emerging artists with ambition and building a curated solution to showcase their works. Her vision is to help emerging and established collectors, corporates and businesses, understand, enjoy and connect with contemporary art. Raised in a family of artists and writers, Saras has been deeply involved in the art world - managing private and museum exhibitions, publications and collections. She combines her experience as an Electronics Engineer and a senior Finance & Strategy Consultant working with C-level executives in top global firms, to bring technological and business model innovation to the traditional gallery model. Her specialisation in Art & Financial Markets and Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s and Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Stanford University only furthered her interest in creating this platform. Saras holds a Masters Degree in Financial Engineering & Operations Research from Columbia University, New York. Her advisory experience in Asia, New York and London brings a global perspective to growing Kovet.art into an international brand.
The Art Vault
The Art Vault is a new dedicated digital exhibition space globally accessible on Kovet.Art’s website, curated by exciting emerging and guest curators showcasing some of the most exciting collectible, emerging art. By collaborating with the best fine art institutions in the UK and guest curators, Kovet.Art wishes to solidify The Art Vault as a foundation for an ecosystem of collectors, art advisors, interior designers and art lovers to source exquisite art, discover their next investment and be inspired. The Art Vault is fully accessible via Kovet.Art website but you can also sign up for an art consultation with a team of experts. New Futures Digital brings the voices of emerging artists and graduate curators to an international stage.Each part of the series of the exhibition will focus on one university per month, starting with CSM Focus (Central Saint Martins) and currently showing Slade Focus (The Slade School of Fine Arts). All works are exclusively available for sale on the website via Kovet.Art’s Art Vault curatorial archive. The artworks will be available for sale on Kovet.Art website for a period of five months per university.
