About
New faces is a vibrant exhibition celebrating the talent of new members of Ipswich Art Society. With the introduction of their new equality and diversity policy, Ipswich Art Society are keen to open the doors for applicants from a wider range of demographics actively encouraging under-represented groups to apply. We believe that representation is important and acknowledge that our current pool of artists does not reflect the diversity of our multi-cultural town. We are proactively seeking to remedy this and look forward to receiving new applications including artists from a range of educational backgrounds, applicants with disabilities, representation from the LGBTQ+ community, working class artists and importantly people of colour.
The exhibition is curated by Hannah Aria and Charles Hustwick. Hannah is a working class, neurodivergent Artist with a passion for social justice. She will be exhibiting an autobiographical installation entitled 'Don't put me in a ...' which explores themes of class, homelessness and social mobility.
