Emily Wilkinson - Between the Lines
Workshop
Create a story or poem (and a piece of art to take away) out of second-hand book pages. Using drawing and collage, artist Emily Wilkinson will help you read ‘Between the Lines' and reveal hidden messages.
Suitable for age 8+, teens & adults
3pm to 4pm
Creating Sound Books - Workshop
Listen to the sounds a book can make, whether a normal hardcover book, a book covered in wax, or even a typewriter. The workshop will also work on some found word poems and thinking about the random associations that evolve.
Participants can stay on to be part of the 4.30pm performance.
Suitable for age 10+, teens & adults
4.30pm to 5.15pm
Sound Books - Performance
Join the artists and contribute to a participatory sound piece. Using books as instruments, different layers of sound will be developed to create a unique composition.
