Alpha-ville at Netil House Revealed

Alpha-ville is very excited to announce a short programme at the upcoming Netil House Revealed event on 5th May. We recently have moved to this unique building that was derelict for years and it has been transformed into a hub of creative people: artists, designers, musicians, … Now part of this Hackney based community, Alpha-ville is collaborating with the Netil House residents to open its doors on the evening to everyone for free. It will be an eclectic evening of art, design, music pop up shops and a party, come join us! We have prepared a programme of short films including films from the Visionary Cities programme that has been refreshed with some more films such as Jonathan Gales' Speculative Landscapes and more — look for the Alpha-ville logo to find the mini cinema. Later on at the warehouse space we will present 2 shows from 9:30pm: My Panda Shall Fly (DJ Set) and Circle Traps (Live). The Sri-Lankan born, My Panda Shall Fly armed with an alarmingly large beard and a bundle of compelling remixes, has recently released his debut EP, the politely named ‘Sorry I Took So Long'. The EP is out from 14th April via Growing/Wichita Recordings. We are also delighted to present a live set from Circle Traps, whose recent EP on Subeena's label Opit Records has captivated us. Circle Traps have arrived at a sound that marries the brittle romantic textures of Bjork's Vespertine to the glacial atmospherics of Thomas Köner to more fluid jazz-like explorations of rhythm. Short films at Open Studios: 6.30PM — 9.30PM Live Music at Warehouse Party : 9.30PM — late ENTRY: FREE More info on the Facebook event: on.fb.me/netilhouse
