This is the Newcastle sister of the New York City, Nasty Women Exhibition, started by Roxanne Jackson and Jessamyn Fiore: http://nastywomenexhibition.org/
Byker Community Centre (BCC) hosting the exhibition from Friday April 7th (preview)- Sat April 23rd

About

With the theme “Women’s Work” we welcome 2D and 3D work from anyone who identifies as being a Nasty Women or supporter of Nasty Women. For us being a Nasty Women is not a physical, party political or biological definition. We want this exhibition to include work from a wildly eclectic group of Nasty Women! The exhibition will be complimented by a series of events and workshops focusing on Women’s achievements and rights locally, nationally and globally.

The exhibition is being organised by BCC “Maker in Residence” & Nasty Women “alumnus” Lady Kitt and artist & BCC Development Manager Aly Smith. We anticipate that it will include work made at the Community Centre by local Byker residents and work by artists from around the world. All profits from sale of artwork will be split between LGTB campaigning group “The Fed” http://www.lgbtfed.com/community and BCC’s Women’s Group.
