This exhibition is a fundraiser. All art will be for sale, %100 of proceeds will go to women's charities.
The Cambridge Nasty Women exhibition is organised by curator Eliza Gluckman, artist/curator Seana Wilson and the Congress for the Defence of Culture (Idit Nathan & Sarah Wood). The exhibition is hosted by Cambridge Artworks and Artspace Gallery providing visual artists with affordable studio space and acting as a resource within the local community.
We join Nasty Women and their allies in the mission to challenge increasing threats to reproductive freedom, women and minorities, the LGBTQ community, and human rights of immigrants and refugees. Nasty Women Cambridge will feature works by an international group of artists , including Jessica Voorsanger and Sarah Maple, coming together in solidarity through mobilization and artistic expression.
Nasty Women Cambridge will take place during the Cambridge Literary Festival.
All work will be affordably sold under £50, with %100 of profits going to Cambridge Womens charities: Corona House, Cambridge Rape Crisis and Cambridge Womens Aid.
