“There is no distinction between myself and art, painting lives in me”
About
Nasim Nabavizadeh is an Iranian-born professional artist who specialises in Fine Art. She has been happily living in London for over twenty-two years with her cherished family.
Her passion for Art started when she was a young girl in Iran. She was a top student in her Art classes, usually asked to design the school posters and contend in their local art competition against other Schools.
Her devotion to Art was postponed when later years she got married and moved to England in 1993. She became a primary school teacher living her desire for art through kids, as it was where it started for her.
Fifteen years ago her motivation for painting grew stronger after her parent’s sudden death using painting as an art therapy. Her emotion runs deep for her countries rich culture of Persian carpet and Glim. She tries to incorporate these flavourful patterns within her paintings while portraying her country's ethnic tribal garments that are more vivid and striking in both style and colour. Mixing traditional patterns and symbols, as she believes her country holds a great treasure of a design not yet exposed to Modern art.
Nasim’s self-taught style comes through practice as she conveys art pieces in a pleasing yet unconventional way. She truly wishes to express the love of her culture through painting.
