'Narrating the Impossible' is Espacio Alexandra´s second solo show with Manuel Diego Sánchez. The project constitutes an unfathomable exercise in which archive and record are used not only as a method of action to counter the amnesia of an event that occurred but more like a site in themselves where the bond between past and present emerges from action, image, footprint and document. Manuel Diego Sánchez’s practice examines memory and its images, and photography is treated as a mnemonic device, interfering to generate new and often incomplete images through fragments with open-ended, imprecise, indeterminate meanings.
