A new series of paintings based on the work of Arthur Rimbaud in which the artist enters into a conversation with the poet and others influenced by him.

About

During the weeks of her retrospective and residency at Hundred Years Gallery, Ana has been developing a new series of paintings based on the work of Arthur Rimbaud in which the artist enters into a conversation with the poet and others influenced by him. The paintings, on fruit boxes and paper, reveal the artist's parallel dialogue with authors she identifies with, bringing out her personal reflections on outsider's matters.

Rimbaud: 'Once, if I remember well, my life was a feast where all hearts opened and all wines flowed.

One evening I seated Beauty on my knees. And I found her bitter. And I cursed her'.

Pallares: 'I don't know the taste of Beauty as beautiful things have been escaping from me all my life'.

On the 1st of March Ana will be in the gallery offering this body of work to her followers in a donation scheme, and those on display from her restrospective at a a 20% discount. This is a unique opportunity to see and aquire these works at a very low price.
