A mudlarking related exhibition from 23-26 September, 2022. Organised by Christine Chua and Zoey Chang with the support from Thames River Trust. This exhibition pays homage to the river, crafting spaces to explore a new consciousness about our relationship to the Thames and local community.
About
The river reveals its lost and found possessions as the tide ebbs and flows. As mudlarking brings people into tangible contact with history, this exhibition celebrates how the foreshore constantly renews itself, allowing personal and historical narratives to resurface. From ancient to contemporary debris, mudlarking inspires the works of selected artists. By reimagining the ever-evolving space of the foreshore, audiences experience an intimacy with this process of meditation and discovery.
Consists of fourteen emerging contemporary artists, the group show is a juorney to the river's heart and soul. Throughout the duration of the show, there is also a watercolour and clay creative corner for all the event goers to use for free.
Artist list: Adam Bird, Annie Lee, Ben Coleman, Christine Chua, Isabella Zielonka, Eleanor Turnbull, Ekaterina (Kate) Adelskaya, Katie Mess, Rong Bao, Tan Shao Qi, Victoria Coxall, Xiao Yuhan, Zhang Sheng Jia, Zoey Chih Ying Chang.
