Moving women, poignant women – or how are women portrayed today, in 2019, by artists working in films and videos. This is the theme of this new exhibition in Paris, under the patronage of Danysz Gallery and Barbara Polla.

About

A 100% video art exhibition that brings together top artists in the medium such as the Italian Mario Rizzi, whose work is in MoMA’s collections in New York ; the Australian Shaun Gladwell, a regular of the Venice Biennale ; Erwin Olaf who right now is having an exhibition at the GemeenteMuseum in The Hague and is scheduled soon at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam or the French Laurent Fievet, winner of the Hôtel Windsor video art prize, which was awarded by Caroline Bourgeois and Gilles Fuchs among others.

The diversity of the works exhibited span from the arrogant freedom of Natalia (Yapci Ramos), to the taking charge of responsibilities portrayed in Mario Rizzi’s Al Inthitar, from physical strength (Dana Hoey, Boxing) to the absolute tenderness of mother-daughter relationship (Clare Langan), or from the bearers of memory to the bearers of light (Shaun Gladwell, Lee Yanor).
