We are delighted to present »Erbsen« (peas) an edition of jumpers by artist Andreas Schulze.
About
Since the 1980s the pea has been one of the favorite motifs of Cologne-based painter: e.g. in the graphic series »Raststätten« (roadhouses), as an element in numerous portrait works, or most prominent in 2014 in the installation »Erbsenstraßen« (roads of peas) at Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt.
When asked in an interview »Why peas?«, he gave the cogent answer: »Cucumbers would have been bad«.
The jumpers were manufactured in Berlin: made of 100% organic cotton in colors grey or black, screen-printed with phosphorescent color by Handsiebdruckerei, Berlin, tailored and sewed by Zwischenmeisterei 110%ig.
Co-instantaneous with this presentation, Andreas Schulze will design the window-front of Image Movement with a large-scale print.
The artist will be present.
We will serve some self-evident stew.
