Moon Dog II, obsession in the pursuit of the absolute. This mural sized painting was inspired by the book The Cyberiad, a series of humorous science fiction short stories by Stanislaw Lem. The painting depicts the moment the brilliant inventor Klapaucius arrives at his friend and rival Trurl’s workshop with his new robotic fish, only have it trumped by The Moon Dog.
Andrew Gadd studied at Chelsea,Falmouth and the Royal Academy Schools, winning the Gold medal for painting. He had five solo exhibitions at Agnews gallery, Old Bond Street and has exhibited throughout Europe and America. His paintings are in the permanent collection of Chatsworth House, Royal Academy of Arts and The Metropolitan Museum New York.
Holly was born in Africa and she comes from a multi-cultural and well travelled background. Her work mainly consists of experementing with themes of connectivity and intimacy responding to the female form - body performancey and expressions of emotions and thoughts that are intimately bound up with how the body behaves.
