Over a period of 3 years, Mique Michelle, well-known artist and Ottawa School of Art graduate, took photos of abandoned schools in Northern Ontario. This special photography project is equal parts intervention, protest and documentation. Her photographs document the abandoned and completely devastated state of some schools in Northern Ontario as well as her own reaction to seeing them - her free-flowing, unique style of graffiti can be found in many of the photographs. Her beautiful markings are intended as symbols of hope and a message that the community is not forgotten, despite how it may appear.

This is a joint exhibition between gallery Studio Sixty Six and Ottawa School of Art.
