Miles Hall is an Australian painter, living and working in Paris. He trained at Queensland College of Art and at l’Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts, Montpellier, where he now lectures in Painting and Drawing. His works can be found in major international collections including Artbank, University of Queensland Art Museum, l’Ecole des Beaux Arts de Montpellier and Shandong University. Approaching paintings as material events constructed to employ colour, his work is highly responsive to site and space. His practice incorporates ideas of drawing and sculpture to intensify gesture, surface and scale.
