Three workshop opportunities - open to anyone interested in Mike McInnerney’s unique way of painting in nature.
About
Kestle Barton artist in residence Mike McInnerney will be creating an A1 sized gouache painting on-site over four hours in Penarvon Cove on Sunday 4 June. The painting will begin 11am and will be completed by 3pm. He would like to invite those interested in painting at Penarvon Cove to join him to create their own individual response to the site offering the opportunity to produce a painting from start to finish in four hours.
The group would then be invited to review the work produced during light refreshments in the meeting room at Kestle Barton. The review would offer the chance to explore the idea of work in progress and concepts of completeness and finish.
Those attending would bring their own painting material and suitable clothing for the day.
Other workshops in this Mike McInnerney landscape workshop series at Kestle Barton include:
Talking Pictures on 28 May will be an opportunity to discuss and share images and understandings of ‘the landscape’.
Walking Drawing on 3 June is a fast paced drawing class constructed in such a way as to concentrate on the ‘how’ of drawing rather than the ‘what’.
See our website for more details and ring 01326 231811 to book a place.
