A hardworker and aninquisitive and politically implicated man, Michelangelo Pistoletto has developed a practice with an interest towards the fundamental rather the aestetic . He was a protagonist of Arte Povera bringing art into an active relation with the diverse sphere of society.

Now iconic, his "mirrors" illuminate biennials, important exhibitions as well as art fairs and auctions. Beyond their power of seduction, they are part of a reflected oeuvre on the link between a man and his universe.
The Beirut Exhibition Center presents a selection of works traveling between sixty years of creation. The exhibition is a collaboration between Solidere, Galerie Tanit Beirut and Munich and Galleria Continua San Gimignano, with the commitment of Michelangelo Pistoletto and Maria Pioppi and the generous participation of the Fondazione Pistoletto-Cittadellarte. The exhibition will open on November 11, 2014 in the presence of the artist and will be on view till January 11, 2015.
