"Running Out of History" is a new video piece by Israeli artist Michal Helfman, based on an ongoing dialog between G. and her.
About
G. is the founder and head of Israeli Flying Aid (IFA), an NGO that has been smuggling humanitarian aid to Syria since the beginning of the civil war to support the besieged population. The video reenacts a conversation between G. and her Syrian partner during which G. reveals her Israeli identity. In parallel, G. and Helfman discuss the potential of artistic and activist engagement to influence reality.
