In his iconic series of the city of Chicago, Transparent City, the German photographer Michael Wolf confronted the grandiose architecture of the city.
He constructs each of his images with strength and vision, thanks to a sharp framing that made his reputation.
Along with larger shots, details of lives, which touch on voyeurism, enrich the overview of the city.
Part of the series was exhibited at the Rencontres d'Arles at the church of the Friars Preachers in 2017.
