Exhibition of works by textile artist Michael Brennand-Wood with 9 original pieces commissioned by NCCD.
About
Inspired by The National Centre for Craft and Design
and its original purpose as an industrial seed warehouse,
Seeds of Memory will transpose the organic into the
conceptual, allowing the audience access and engagement
with the creative process.
Seeds of Memory will include 9 new works specially
commissioned by NCCD which form the New World series.
The New Worlds series is an open-ended experiment, fused
from a collection of diametrically opposed materials and
ideas with a strong cultural resonance. Technically the work
will be a synthesis of digital and analogue photographic,
painterly, sculptural and stitched interlaced processes.
Meet Michael Brennand-Wood at the opening of
Seeds of Memory on Fri 17 Jul from 6pm.
