Under poststructuralist theory, the term "queer" actually refers to the critique of anything that transmits oppression through the promotion of "normal." Struggling within traumatic experiences does not seem to bring effective progress. Perhaps we can shift our attention to the creative political realm—art, which is an excellent platform for personal experimentation. A sufficient number of chaotic individual narratives can disrupt the binary opposition of "normal" and "abnormal," thereby dismantling it. "Noise" can cause the collapse of order, while also revealing more possibilities exposed in the crisis.
Metamorphosis Experimental Theater is providing a platform for this artistic practice: it is an open space for imagination, where participants begin constructing/imaging an identity narrative from the early stages of rehearsal, continuously building and refining it throughout the rehearsal process and in their daily lives.
