About

MERZ:
Signed to Sony in 1999, Conrad Lambert, aka Merz, looked set to conquer the world. His debut album received widespread critical acclaim and led to appearances on Top Of The Pops, Jools Holland, and was subject to a Channel 4 music documentary. His music was embraced by the then unreconstructed genre that was folk, electronica and the fringes of dance and would even be heard on soaps like Eastenders and Coronation Street. Then…. nothing. He disappeared without trace, citing record company problems, but triumphantly returned in 2006 with a dazzling album, Loveheart. Elaborating on his early pastoral influences, the album features an astonishing range of delicate instrumentation, and crucially, is illuminated by brilliant arrangements. Loveheart is the work of a gifted and passionate songwriter with a rare musical talent. A new album is expected to be released for the tour.
“Merz makes unique, untainted music that's a hurricane of fresh air." ' THE INDEPENDENT
JACOB GOLDEN:
American singer-songwriter Jacob Golden was last seen supporting Catherine Feeny and is notable for his almost-broken, fragile vocal style. Last year's well-received second album, Revenge Songs, drew comparisons with Bright Eyes.
"A stunning debut.. a must buy" The Sunday Times - album of the week
"Arguably the work of the greatest singer songwriter of the current generation" Clash Magazine
