Using photography as their medium and digital technology as their tool, this group of female artists create carefully choreographed compositions, seamlessly integrated, to construct landscapes located somewhere between reality and the imagination.
About
‘Merge Visible’ is an action in Photoshop when you flatten separate layers together to make a unified image.
Using photography as their medium and digital technology as their tool, this group of female artists create carefully choreographed compositions, seamlessly integrated, to construct landscapes located somewhere between reality and the imagination.
Mall Galleries’ presents Merge Visible, our first exhibition embracing the emergent practice of digital collage in contemporary fine art photography in the UK. The photographic practice of all the artists in the show has developed from a fine art background, creating a new visual language that challenges the dominant view of photography as documentary.
Artists include Emily Allchurch, Lisa Creagh, Ellie Davies, Barbara Nati and Suzanne Moxhay.
