About

Memory' by Rebecca Feiner takes over the atmospheric, high vaulted space of this 183 year old church belfry. Feiner's art has been described as ‘visceral and performative' and this is the first opportunity to see the development of her solo work since her 2007 exhibitions in Denmark. Continuing to mine a dark seam of human nature through the universalities of family, childhood, loss, grief and survival, the work is characterised by unsettling beauty and black humour. As TimeOut said in 1999, ‘Feiner mixes the confessional style of Tracy Emin with the objectivity of American conceptualist Joseph Kosouth.'
