Who is it for?

This event is for anyone interested in art or photography concerned with the human form, performance art and photography from the North of the England.

Ruby Robinson, a recent graduate from Manchester, seeks to capture people and places with a sense of spontaneity and playfulness. Shooting with film, Ruby’s focus on hidden gems and flaws in recent project Nude clearly marks out where her interests lie. This project was exhibited at Brighton Photo Fringe as part of Strand Collective's exhibition 'Second Skin’ (part of Redeye Lightbox) and will be shown again at HIP Photo festival in October this year. Her recent series Flush, shown at Pingyao Photo Festival in China, explores female adolescence and the uncertain chasm between childhood and adulthood. Ruby's work has also been featured in The Lucky JotterOpen Eye Photo Fayre, Format Magazine and Dazed Digital

Ellen Moss is a 3rd year BA Fine Art student at Manchester School of Art. She has shown all around Manchester and has recently been part of John Hyatt’s show at HOME, Manchester. Ellen uses time-based media such as performance and photography to explore the situation of the female body in contemporary art. Her recent work focuses on both the male and internet gaze and its influence on the representation of the female body.

Natalie Wardle is a visual artist/photographer from Manchester. Her work looks at how women constrict their bodies with shapeware and body tape to repress their figure and fit in with society’s ideal body types. Since graduating with a BA in Photography from Manchester School of Art Natalie has exhibited around England and internationally. Her project Contol Pant Symphony was recently shown in the Modern History exhibition at The Atkinson, Southport.
