MOMMA! MOMMA! is the first solo exhibition in Scotland for Canadian artist Megan Rooney.
About
Rooney is an enigmatic storyteller; her work expands across painting, performance, written and spoken word, sculpture and installation. For MOMMA! MOMMA!, she creates a new site-specific installation, populated by figures and objects that lurk on the periphery of written and performed narratives.In Rooney’s characteristic visual language, environments are vacated and sinister, but also inviting and intimate, begging the question — who, or what, lives here? And when, or how, might they be reanimated?
This exhibition has been co-commissioned by Tramway and MAP, in association with the MAP commission Others got wings for Flying.
